The things are clear now that India won the series by 2-1. It might 3-1 but still the series win is always special for India against Australia. India retain Bordar-Gavaskar Trophy. The home season for India was superb with win against New Zealand, England and Bangladesh. Kohli scored back to back centuries in earlier series while not able to score against Australia. It was a superb series as per the commentators that no one can predict a winner. Autralia was on high after winning the 1st test at Pune but then India came back in 2nd test at Bangalore. The 3rd test at Ranchi was draw but it was in India’s favour while 4th test become more interesting and Team India won it superbly.

Australia’s Upper Hand:
Australia was looking good on paper with Steven Smith captaining the side with David Warner and new comers like Handscomb & Renshaw. In Pune it was a 1st test win for them after years and 1-0 up for visitors is always special. Steven Smith was on high and his boys performed very well. Steve O’Keefe was a new find for them with Renshaw and Handscomb. It was not a high scoring match and the pitch was superb for spinners. They perform as a unit. Steve O’Keefe got 12 wickets in the match while Steven Smith got century. It was a dream match for visitors and it came out of no where. The big win for them in the start of the series. They got their hand up in the series. It was a good fight for No.1 test side India. Do not forget that they are No.2.
Team India’s Come Back:
After loosing 1st Test at Pune Indian team was not looking good at Bangalore. They scored just 189 runs in 1st inning while Australia responded very well and scored 276 runs. They had upper hand at that time but India came back and scored 274 runs in 2nd inning and set a target of 185 runs. They might won but R Ashwin came back strongly at a turning track and Australia managed to score just 112 runs and India level the series 1-1. The things were not looking for Australian team in the 2nd test. Kohli and team were on high. Rahul scored fifties in both the innings while Jadeja got 6 in 1st inning with Ashwin in 2nd inning. Do not forget Nathan Lyon’s 8 wickets in 1st inning and Jose Hazlewood’s 6 in 2nd inning. Still India got a good over Australia team and at last won the match by 75 runs. Superb comeback for home team.

Nathan Lyon become highest wicket taker against India. KL Rahul got 6 fifties in 7 innings. The making of Rahul in test cricket. Cheteshwar Pujara scored duck after 50 inning in home series. Virat Kohli missed a test match since 2011. Kuldeep Yadav took 4 wickets in 1st inning of 4th test match which is best for a chinaman spinner who is the 1st for India. Steven Smith scored two centuries and his average against India improved to 90+. Ravindra Jadeja become No.1 spinner in Test Cricket surpasses his team mate R.Ashwin. Ravichandran Ashwin becomes the highest wicket taking bowler in one year surpasses Dale Steyn. Cheteshwar Pujara scored 1000+ runs in a year and he is the 2nd highest after Ricky Ponting. Cheteshwar Pujara played 525 balls in an inning with 672 minutes on the crease. It was a old fashion cricket and he played with cool mind. Umesh Yadav delivers his best of the balls and took wicket at the time it needed.
New Test Venues:
BCCI introduced two new venues for Test Cricket in India. Ranchi and Dharamshala which are the best ones for Test Cricket and the the opponent like Australia is another advantage for the people who got a chance to see a test match.
